A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to restrictions on political contributions and political
expenditures by general-purpose political committees.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 253.037, Election Code,
is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 253.037. RESTRICTION [RESTRICTIONS] ON CONTRIBUTION
[OR EXPENDITURE] BY GENERAL-PURPOSE COMMITTEE.
SECTION 2. Sections 253.037(a) and (c), Election Code, are
repealed.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
