| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 41.46, Tax Code, is amended by adding | |
| 12 | 12 | Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (d) The appraisal review board shall deliver notice of the | |
| 14 | 14 | hearing by certified mail if, in the notice of protest under Section | |
| 15 | 15 | 41.44, the property owner requests delivery by certified mail. The | |
| 16 | 16 | board may require the property owner to pay the cost of postage | |
| 17 | 17 | under this subsection. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
