A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the creation of additional judicial districts in Harris
County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is
amended by adding Sections 24.600 and 24.6001 to read as follows:
Sec. 24.600. 456TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The
456th Judicial District is composed of Harris County.
Sec. 24.6001. 457TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HARRIS COUNTY). The
457th Judicial District is composed of Harris County.
SECTION 2. The 456th and 457th Judicial Districts are
created on the effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
