 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the appropriation of money from the economic
 stabilization fund for maintenance, renovation, and repair of
 certain state buildings.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  In addition to other amounts appropriated to the
 Texas Facilities Commission for the state fiscal biennium ending
 August 31, 2019, $500 million is appropriated out of the economic
 stabilization fund to the Texas Facilities Commission for that
 state fiscal biennium for purposes of providing general building
 maintenance for, and renovating and repairing, state buildings for
 which the commission provides facilities management services under
 Section 2165.007, Government Code, or under the terms of a
 memorandum of understanding. Maintenance, renovation, and repairs
 for which money appropriated under this section may be used
 includes maintenance, renovation, and repairs of electrical,
 mechanical, plumbing, and sewer systems.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2017, but only
 if the Act receives a vote of two-thirds of the members present in
 each house of the legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m),
 Article III, Texas Constitution.
