                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 4, 2017      TO: Honorable John Whitmire, Chair, Senate Committee on Criminal Justice      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1503 by Frullo (Relating to the reporting of attempted child abductions.), As Engrossed    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure requiring local law enforcement on receiving a report of an attempted child abduction to provide, as soon as practicable, but no later than eight hours, a report to the clearinghouse.   The bill would repeal Article 63.009(a-3), Code of Criminal Procedure.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact According to the City of Austin no fiscal impact is anticipated from the provisions of the bill.
