77 relating to the movement of pedestrians in front of, under,
88 between, or through rail cars at a railroad grade crossing;
99 providing criminal penalties.
1010 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1111 SECTION 1. Chapter 552, Transportation Code, is amended by
1212 adding Section 552.011 to read as follows:
1313 Sec. 552.011. TRAIN OCCUPYING CROSSING. (a) A pedestrian
1414 may not move in front of, under, between, or through the cars of a
1515 moving or stationary train occupying any part of a railroad grade
1616 crossing.
1717 (b) An offense under this section is punishable by a fine of
1818 not less than $50 or more than $200.
1919 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
