The bill would amend the Local Government Code to allow a board of park commissioners to create reasonable rules concerning the use of parks administered by the board. An offense against these rules is punishable as a Class C misdemeanor. Fines collected are deposited into the county's general fund.According to the Parks and Wildlife Department, the bill is not anticipated to have a fiscal impact on the state.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
