                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 7, 2017      TO: Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB209 by Canales (Relating to voter registration application forms in high schools.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code relating to voter registration application forms in high schools.Based on information provided by the Secretary of State, this analysis assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed by the agency using existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house or on September 1, 2017.  Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
