A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to entry onto property to survey for a high-speed rail
facility.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 112.051, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
(d) This section does not apply to a private entity
operating or developing passenger rail service:
(1) between a municipality with a population of more
than 1.19 million and less than 1.3 million and a municipality with
a population of 1.9 million or more; and
(2) capable of operating at speeds greater than 120
miles per hour.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
