| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 55.002, Transportation Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (b-1) In addition to funding projects under Subsection (a), | |
| 13 | 13 | the department by rule shall establish a grant program to fund port | |
| 14 | 14 | security, transportation, or facility projects with money from the | |
| 15 | 15 | general revenue accounts, bond proceeds if allowed by other law, or | |
| 16 | 16 | any other money appropriated by the legislature. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
