| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 39.054(a-3), Education Code, is amended | |
| 12 | 12 | to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (a-3) Not later than August 15 of each year, the performance | |
| 14 | 14 | ratings of each district and campus shall be made publicly | |
| 15 | 15 | available as provided by rules adopted under this section. The | |
| 16 | 16 | rules adopted under this section must require that the publication | |
| 17 | 17 | of the performance ratings of each district and campus also | |
| 18 | 18 | include, for each district and campus, the number of educationally | |
| 19 | 19 | disadvantaged students who are enrolled at the district or campus, | |
| 20 | 20 | and for each district, the amount of state and local revenue per | |
| 21 | 21 | student in weighted average daily attendance the district received | |
| 22 | 22 | for the school year for which the performance rating applies. If a | |
| 23 | 23 | district or campus received an overall or domain performance rating | |
| 24 | 24 | of D or F for the preceding school year, the commissioner shall | |
| 25 | 25 | notify the district of a subsequent such designation on or before | |
| 26 | 26 | June 15. | |
| 27 | 27 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
