| 13 | 7 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 14 | 8 | SECTION 1. Section 13.042(c), Election Code, is amended to | |
| 15 | 9 | read as follows: | |
| 16 | 10 | (c) An application submitted after the 34th day before the | |
| 17 | 11 | date of an election and on or before the last day for a person to | |
| 18 | 12 | timely submit a registration application for that election as | |
| 19 | 13 | provided by Section 13.143 [before the 29th day before the date of | |
| 20 | 14 | an election in which any qualified voter of the county is eligible | |
| 21 | 15 | to vote] shall be delivered not later than 5 p.m. of the next | |
| 22 | 16 | regular business day after the date to timely submit a registration | |
