The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to establish additional requirements for the content of a third-party affidavit to be filed in actions or arbitration proceedings for damages arising out of the provision of professional services by a licensed or registered professional. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
