| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 11.393, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (f) The description of the procedure required by Subsection | |
| 13 | 13 | (e)(5) must state that personal information provided in the protest | |
| 14 | 14 | of an application for a permit under this subtitle is subject to | |
| 15 | 15 | public information laws. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Subchapter B, Chapter 11, Alcoholic Beverage | |
| 17 | 17 | Code, is amended by adding Section 11.394 to read as follows: | |
| 18 | 18 | Sec. 11.394. PROTEST FORMS. Any form used by the commission | |
| 19 | 19 | to register the protest of an application for a permit issued under | |
| 20 | 20 | this subtitle must state that personal information provided in the | |
| 21 | 21 | protest is subject to public information laws. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 3. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 23 | 23 | to an application for a permit filed on or after the effective date | |
| 24 | 24 | of this Act. | |
| 25 | 25 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
