                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 4, 2017      TO: Honorable Craig Estes, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2580 by Holland (Relating to criminal history record information obtained by the savings and mortgage lending commissioner.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code relating to criminal history information obtained by the savings and mortgage lending commissioner. The bill would permit the Savings and Mortgage Commissioner to obtain criminal history information maintained by the Department of Public Safety for certain persons. Based on information provided by the Department of Public Safety and Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending, it is assumed any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
