                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 3, 2017      TO: Honorable Lyle Larson, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2802 by Larson (Relating to the review of river authorities by the Sunset Advisory Commission.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend statute to remove river authorities as subject to review by the Sunset Advisory Commission (Commission). As river authorities are currently required by statute to pay costs incurred by the Commission in performing its review, no fiscal impact to the state is anticipated. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. River authorities would achieve cost avoidance from no longer being required to reimburse the Commission for costs related to their review.
