A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the review of river authorities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The following provisions are repealed:
(1) Section 325.025, Government Code;

SECTION 2.
The Legislative Budget Board shall conduct an
efficiency review authorized by Section 322.0171, Government Code,
of the Lower Colorado River Authority and report the findings of the
review and analysis to the governor and the legislature not later
than December 31, 2018.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
