| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 43, Election Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 43.064 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 43.064. LOCATION OF POLLING PLACE ON SECRETARY OF | |
| 13 | 13 | STATE'S WEBSITE. (a) The secretary of state shall prescribe | |
| 14 | 14 | procedures requiring each entity designating the location of a | |
| 15 | 15 | polling place, including an early voting polling place, to submit | |
| 16 | 16 | information on the location to the secretary of state for inclusion | |
| 17 | 17 | on the secretary of state's website. | |
| 18 | 18 | (b) For each polling place the information submitted must | |
| 19 | 19 | include: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) the name of the building in which the polling place | |
| 21 | 21 | is located, if available; | |
| 22 | 22 | (2) the street address and zip code of the polling | |
| 23 | 23 | place; | |
| 24 | 24 | (3) the days and hours of voting at each location; | |
| 25 | 25 | (4) whether a polling place is a countywide polling | |
| 26 | 26 | place under Section 43.007; and | |
| 27 | 27 | (5) if a polling place is designated as the location | |
| 28 | 28 | for more than one precinct, each precinct voting at the location. | |
| 29 | 29 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
