77 relating to prohibiting the transmission of unsolicited commercial
88 electronic mail messages to certain persons.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 321, Business & Commerce
1111 Code, is amended by adding Section 321.0525 to read as follows:
1212 Sec. 321.0525. TRANSMISSION OF UNSOLICITED COMMERCIAL
1313 ELECTRONIC MAIL MESSAGES PROHIBITED AFTER REQUEST FOR REMOVAL. A
1414 sender or a person acting on behalf of a sender may not transmit an
1515 unsolicited commercial electronic mail message to the electronic
1616 mail address of a person who requests the removal of that address
1717 from the sender's electronic mail list as provided by Section
1818 321.052(a)(2).
1919 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
