The bill would amend Chapter 484 of the Health and Safety Code, which prohibits a person in the course of business from knowingly producing, distributing, selling, or offering to sell a mislabeled abusable synthetic substance. The bill would amend the definition to include use of the Internet to perform any of those activities. Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be implemented utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
