A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a fiscal note statement regarding increased costs to
counties and municipalities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 314, Government Code, is amended by
adding Section 314.006 to read as follows:
Sec. 314.006. STATEMENT REGARDING COSTS FOR COUNTY OR
MUNICIPALITY. The board shall include in each fiscal note a
statement indicating whether the bill or resolution may create an
increased cost for one or more counties or municipalities.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
