| 13 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Article 2.132(a)(3), Code of Criminal Procedure, |

| 15 | 9 | | is amended to read as follows: |

| 16 | 10 | | (3) "Race or ethnicity" means the following |

| 18 | 12 | | (A) Alaska native or American Indian; |
