66 relating to conciliation agreements under the Texas Fair Housing

88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 301, Property Code, is
1010 amended by adding Section 301.134 to read as follows:
1111 Sec. 301.134. CONCILIATION AGREEMENT ENFORCEMENT. The
1212 commission may monitor a respondent's compliance with a
1313 conciliation agreement entered into under this chapter. If the
1414 commission has reasonable cause to believe that a respondent has
1515 breached a conciliati
1616 on agreement, the commission shall refer the
1717 matter to the attorney general with a recommendation for the
1818 attorney general to file in accordance with this subchapter a civil
1919 action to enforce the agreement.
2020 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
