The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require certain freestanding emergency medical care facilities to post notice that either lists the health benefit plan provider networks in which the facility participates or states that the facility is not a participating provider of any health benefit plan provider network. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. The Health and Human Services Commission indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
