                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 3, 2017      TO: Honorable René Oliveira, Chair, House Committee on Business & Industry      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB329 by González, Mary (Relating to breast-feeding policies of state agency worksites.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to annually submit a list of state agencies designated as "mother-friendly" to the standing House and Senate committees with jurisdiction over DSHS. The bill also directs state agencies, to the extent practicable, to develop policies that support breastfeeding at agency worksites. It is assumed that costs associated with implementing provisions of the bill would not be significant and could be absorbed using existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
