| 7 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 43, Parks and Wildlife |
|---|
| 9 | 15 | | Code, is amended by adding Section 43.1076 to read as follows: |

| 10 | 16 | | Sec. 43.1076. USING HOT AIR BALLOONS TO TAKE CERTAIN |
|---|
| 11 | 17 | | ANIMALS. A qualified landowner or landowner's agent, as determined |
|---|
| 12 | 18 | | by commission rule, may contract to participate as a hunter or |
|---|
| 13 | 19 | | observer in using a hot air balloon to take depredating feral hogs |
|---|
| 14 | 20 | | or coyotes under the authority of a permit issued under this |
|---|
| 15 | 21 | | subchapter. |

| 16 | 22 | | SECTION 2. As soon as practicable after the effective date |
|---|
| 17 | 23 | | of this Act, the Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt rules as |
|---|
| 18 | 24 | | necessary to implement Section 43.1076, Parks and Wildlife Code, as |
|---|
| 19 | 25 | | added by this Act. |

| 20 | 26 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
