| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Section 721.003(a), Transportation Code, is |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | (a) The governing bodies of the following state agencies or |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | divisions by rule may exempt from the requirements of Section |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 721.002 a motor vehicle that is under the control and custody of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | agency or division: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (1) Texas Commission on Fire Protection; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (2) Texas State Board of Pharmacy; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (3) Department of State Health Services and Department |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | of Aging and Disability Services; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (4) Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas; |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (5) Texas Department of Criminal Justice; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (6) Board of Pardons and Paroles; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (7) Parks and Wildlife Department; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (8) Railroad Commission of Texas; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (9) Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission; |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (10) Texas Department of Banking; |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (11) Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending; |

| 28 | 28 | | (12) Texas Juvenile Justice Department; |
