A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the conduct of certain bond elections.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 85, Election Code, is amended by adding
Section 85.0655 to read as follows:
85.0655 TEMPORARY BRANCH IN BOND ELECTIONS.
Notwithstanding
the provisions of sections 85.062, 85.064, and 85.065, the location
of a movable polling place in an election in which a proposition
submitted to the voters for approval of the issuance of bonds or the
imposition, increase, or reduction of a tax shall be fixed at one
place for the duration of the period that voting is conducted at the
polling place.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1,2017.
