| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 621.408, Transportation Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (c) Notwithstanding Subsection (a), a weight enforcement | |
| 13 | 13 | officer described by Section 621.401(3), (4), (5), or (6) may not | |
| 14 | 14 | enforce this subchapter on an interstate highway or United States | |
| 15 | 15 | highway if the vehicle that is the subject of the enforcement is a | |
| 16 | 16 | vehicle described by Section 623.162. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
