66 AN ACT
77 relating to licensing and reimbursing certain foster group homes
88 that provide services to victims of sex trafficking.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 42, Human Resources Code,
1111 is amended by adding Section 42.0534 to read as follows:
1212 Sec. 42.0534. FOSTER GROUP HOME FOR VICTIMS OF SEX
1313 TRAFFICKING. The executive commissioner shall adopt rules
1414 governing the licensing and reimbursement of an independent foster
1515 group home that provides shelter and care for victims of sex
1616 trafficking. The rules must:
1717 (1) include a procedure for obtaining a license for
1818 the home;
1919 (2) provide for reimbursement in the name of the
2020 organization that manages the home; and
2121 (3) provide for reimbursement at the intensive service
2222 level rate for residential child care provided by the home.
2323 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
