13 | 6 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
14 | 7 | SECTION 1. Section 15.994(c), Water Code, is amended to | |
15 | 8 | read as follows: | |
16 | 9 | (c) The board may use money in the fund to contract for | |
17 | 10 | outreach, financial, planning, and technical assistance to assist | |
18 | 11 | rural political subdivisions in obtaining and using financing from | |
19 | 12 | any source for a purpose described by this section [the fund]. | |
20 | 13 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
21 | 14 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
22 | 15 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
23 | 16 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
