The bill's provisions would add the academic performance of students formerly receiving special education services to Accountability Domain IV for elementary and middle and junior high school campuses. The bill also adds the academic performance of students formerly receiving special education services to the postsecondary readiness distinction designation.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins, and would apply beginning with school year 2017-18.
