| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 42, Human Resources Code, | |
| 11 | 11 | is amended by adding Section 42.066 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 42.066. REQUIRED SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION REQUESTED | |
| 13 | 13 | BY COURT. A general residential operation that provides mental | |
| 14 | 14 | health treatment or services to a child in the managing | |
| 15 | 15 | conservatorship of the department shall timely submit to the court | |
| 16 | 16 | in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship under Subtitle E, | |
| 17 | 17 | Title 5, Family Code, all information requested by that court. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 19 | 19 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 20 | 20 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
