88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 372.101, Transportation Code, is amended
1010 to read as follows:
1111 Sec. 372.101. APPLICABILITY. This subchapter does not
1212 apply to a county acting under Chapter 284, except that Sections
1313 372.103 and 372.104 do apply to a county acting under Chapter 284.
1414 SECTION 2. Section 372.103, Transportation Code, is amended
1515 to read as follows:
1616 Sec. 372.103. TOLL VIOLATION PAYMENT PLAN AND PARTIAL
1717 PAYMENTS. (a) A toll project entity may enter into an agreement
1818 with the registered owner of a vehicle, for whom a single payment is
1919 not feasible, that allows the person to pay the total amount of
2020 outstanding tolls, [and] administrative fees, or both tolls and
2121 administrative fees over a specified period. The agreement must be
2222 in writing and specify the amount due under the agreement [for tolls
2323 and administrative fees], the duration of the agreement, and the
2424 amount of each payment.
2525 (b) A toll project entity that accepts payment for tolls and
2626 administrative fees on an Internet website must allow a user to pay
2727 a portion of the total amount due.
2828 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
