| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Sections 225.0591(a) and (b), Transportation | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, are amended to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) [The part of] U.S. Highway 290 [in Harris County between | |
| 13 | 13 | the Harris County boundary with Waller County and Interstate | |
| 14 | 14 | Highway 610] is designated as the Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway. | |
| 15 | 15 | The designation is in addition to any other designation. | |
| 16 | 16 | (b) The department shall design and construct [memorial] | |
| 17 | 17 | markers indicating the [highway number, the] designation as the | |
| 18 | 18 | Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway[,] and any other appropriate | |
| 19 | 19 | information. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
