| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 11 | 11 | is amended by adding Section 225.123 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 225.123. APOSTLE LOBIAS MURRAY MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) | |
| 13 | 13 | The portion of Interstate Highway 20 in Dallas between its | |
| 14 | 14 | intersection with East Kirnwood Drive and South Hampton Road is | |
| 15 | 15 | designated as the Apostle Lobias Murray Memorial Highway. The | |
| 16 | 16 | designation is in addition to any other designation. | |
| 17 | 17 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 18 | 18 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 19 | 19 | designation as the Apostle Lobias Murray Memorial Highway and any | |
| 20 | 20 | other appropriate information; and | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at | |
| 22 | 22 | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
