77 relating to a temporary license to practice medicine.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 155, Occupations Code, is
1010 amended by adding Section 155.1045 to read as follows:
1111 Sec. 155.1045. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF TEMPORARY LICENSE
1212 HOLDER. Notwithstanding any other law, the holder of a temporary
1313 license issued under Section 155.104(a) has the same rights and
1414 obligations as imposed by the laws of this state on the holder of a
1515 permanent unrestricted license issued under this chapter,
1616 including prescriptive authority.
1717 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1818 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1919 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2020 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2121 Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
