| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 155, Occupations Code, is | |
| 10 | 10 | amended by adding Section 155.1045 to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | Sec. 155.1045. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF TEMPORARY LICENSE | |
| 12 | 12 | HOLDER. Notwithstanding any other law, the holder of a temporary | |
| 13 | 13 | license issued under Section 155.104(a) has the same rights and | |
| 14 | 14 | obligations as imposed by the laws of this state on the holder of a | |
| 15 | 15 | permanent unrestricted license issued under this chapter, | |
| 16 | 16 | including prescriptive authority. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 18 | 18 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 19 | 19 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 20 | 20 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
