126 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
137 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
148 amended by adding Section 662.111 to read as follows:
159 Sec. 662.111. SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS MONTH. (a) April is
1610 Sexual Assault Awareness Month to increase awareness and prevention
1711 of sexual assault.
1812 (b) Sexual Assault Awareness Month may be regularly
1913 observed through appropriate activities in public schools and other
2014 places to increase awareness and prevention of sexual assault.
2115 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
