| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 42.153(b), Education Code, is amended to | |

| 11 | 11 | (b) Funds allocated under this section, other than an | |
| 12 | 12 | indirect cost allotment established under State Board of Education | |
| 13 | 13 | rule, which may not exceed 45 percent, | |
| 14 | 14 | must be used in providing | |
| 15 | 15 | bilingual education or special language programs under Subchapter | |
| 16 | 16 | B, Chapter 29, and must be accounted for under existing agency | |
| 17 | 17 | reporting and auditing procedures. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
