A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for recipients
of the Star of Texas Award.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code,
is amended by adding Section 504.416 to read as follows:
Sec. 504.416. STAR OF TEXAS AWARD RECIPIENTS. The
department shall issue specialty license plates for persons who are
recipients of a Star of Texas Award under Chapter 3106, Government
Code. The license plates must include the Star of Texas Award
emblem and the words "Star of Texas."
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
