| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The election was held during the 113th annual |

| 9 | 10 | | Diocesan Council in Corpus Christi; Reverend Brooke-Davidson is |

| 10 | 11 | | scheduled to be ordained on July 29, 2017, as the diocese's sixth |

| 11 | 12 | | bishop suffragan, a role in which she will serve alongside the |

| 12 | 13 | | diocesan bishop, the Right Reverend David M. Reed; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, After graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary |

| 14 | 15 | | with a degree in leadership and theology, Jennifer Brooke-Davidson |

| 15 | 16 | | received her ordination as a priest in 2009; she went on to serve as |

| 16 | 17 | | the assistant rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Wimberley |

| 17 | 18 | | from 2009 to 2011 and subsequently began her tenure as vicar of |

| 18 | 19 | | St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Buda; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Reverend Brooke-Davidson holds a history degree |

| 20 | 21 | | from Yale University and a law degree from The University of Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | at Austin, and before entering the ministry, she practiced |

| 22 | 23 | | commercial financial law for 12 years; in all her endeavors, she is |

| 23 | 24 | | blessed with the love and support of her husband of more than a |

| 24 | 25 | | quarter century, Carrick Brooke-Davidson, and their daughters, |

| 25 | 26 | | Emma and Kate; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, During her notable career in the clergy, the |

| 27 | 28 | | Reverend Jennifer Brooke-Davidson has demonstrated her strong |

| 28 | 29 | | faith and steadfast commitment to the service of others, and her |

| 29 | 30 | | spiritual guidance and leadership are certain to benefit countless |

| 30 | 31 | | people in her new role with the Diocese of West Texas; now, |
