| 11 | 12 | | together middle and high school students from around the nation to |

| 12 | 13 | | participate in a fast-paced contest that touches on disciplines |

| 13 | 14 | | ranging from biology and chemistry to physics and math; at the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | regional level, the members of the winning Baker Middle School team |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | beat out 19 other teams from South Texas to earn an all-expenses |

| 16 | 17 | | paid trip to Washington, D.C., where they will take part in the |

| 17 | 18 | | national competition being held from April 27 to May 1, 2017; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A seventh grader at Baker Middle School, Sunidhi |

| 19 | 20 | | Kulkarni is in the International Baccalaureate gifted and talented |

| 20 | 21 | | program, and she participates in Mathcounts and regional choir; in |

| 21 | 22 | | her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing piano, drawing, and |

| 22 | 23 | | learning Bharatanatyam, a form of Indian classical dance; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, With their fine showing in the regional Science Bowl |
