| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ulrich Intermediate School in Klein has been named |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Learning Ally is a nonprofit organization that |

|---|
| 10 | 11 | | disabilities, including dyslexia, blindness, and visual |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | impairment, at approximately 10,000 schools; the Great Reading |

| 12 | 13 | | Games contest is designed to motivate these students to spend more |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | time reading and to engage with texts above their grade level, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | during this year's competition, participants completed more than |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | five million pages total; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ulrich Intermediate beat out schools from across the |

| 17 | 18 | | country to capture first place in the 2017 Great Reading Games; all |

| 18 | 19 | | of the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders involved in the school's |

| 19 | 20 | | Learning Ally program took part in the challenge, earning a winning |

| 20 | 21 | | score of 1,580,614; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, With their fine performance in the Great Reading |
