| 13 | 14 | | touches on disciplines ranging from biology and chemistry to |

| 14 | 15 | | physics and math; at the regional level, competitors from King High |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | School bested 19 other teams from South Texas to earn an |

| 16 | 17 | | all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., where they will take |

| 17 | 18 | | part in the national competition being held from April 27 to May 1, |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, In addition to participating in the Science Bowl, |

| 20 | 21 | | Mr. Fan regularly represents his school in University |

| 21 | 22 | | Interscholastic League academic contests; currently in his junior |

| 22 | 23 | | year, he has further distinguished himself as a competitive tennis |

| 23 | 24 | | player; in his spare time, he enjoys playing violin, trying new |

| 24 | 25 | | foods, and rooting for the Houston Rockets; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, With their fine showing in the regional Science Bowl |

| 26 | 27 | | competition, the members of the King High School team have brought |

| 27 | 28 | | credit to their school and their community, and Christopher Fan may |

| 28 | 29 | | take justifiable pride in his contributions to the team's winning |
