| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Harrison began his tenure with Port Corpus |

| 9 | 10 | | Christi in 1978, when he accepted a position as an operations |

| 10 | 11 | | traffic control clerk in the harbormaster's office; promoted to |

| 11 | 12 | | vessel traffic control chief in 1993, he became assistant |

| 12 | 13 | | harbormaster in January 2011 and assumed the post of harbormaster |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest standards of his |

| 15 | 16 | | profession, Mr. Harrison has worked tirelessly to ensure the safe |

| 16 | 17 | | and efficient operation of the port while overseeing its busy |

| 17 | 18 | | vessel traffic network; he played an integral role in equipping the |

| 18 | 19 | | harbormaster's office with the original Klein traffic management |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | and dispatch software system in 1995 and with the latest SAAB |

| 20 | 21 | | KleinPort system in 2012; this esteemed Texan has further |

| 21 | 22 | | contributed to the maritime industry as a member of the Harbor |

| 22 | 23 | | Safety Committee and the South Texas Waterways Advisory Committee; |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Ray Harrison's dedication, skill, and commitment to |
