| 6 | 7 | | of Lois Elaine Ramsey Van Wart of Houston, who passed away on April |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The former Lois Ramsey was born on May 30, 1933, to |

| 9 | 10 | | Johnnie and Billie Ramsey; raised in Houston, she attended |

| 10 | 11 | | Jefferson Davis High School and the University of Houston; she |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | married C. Donald Van Wart, and the couple became the proud parents |

| 12 | 13 | | of two children, Jeffery and Jill; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Deeply engaged in her community, Mrs. Van Wart was |

| 14 | 15 | | an active member of the Greater Houston Pachyderm Club and Magic |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Circle Republican Women's Club, the latter of which she served as |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | president; she also gave of her time by volunteering with the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Houston Methodist Hospital Service Corps for 12 years; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Lois Van Wart lived a rich and purposeful life |

| 19 | 20 | | centered on her family, her faith, and her community, and those who |

| 20 | 21 | | were fortunate enough to share in her love and affection will |

| 21 | 22 | | forever carry her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
