| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Timothy S. Angermann retired as chief of the |

| 6 | 7 | | Lampasas Police Department on January 4, 2017, drawing to a close an |
|---|
| 7 | 8 | | outstanding tenure in law enforcement that spanned more than 43 |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | years; and |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan began his career at the age of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | 17, when he took a job as a dispatcher with the Lampasas Police |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Department; dedicated to protecting and serving his fellow |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | citizens, he attended the police academy at age 18 and became a |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Lampasas police officer in May 1975; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In 1981, Mr. Angermann left LPD to join the Lampasas |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | County Sheriff's Office, where he was assigned to the Central Texas |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Narcotics Task Force as an investigator and chief deputy; he |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | returned to the Lampasas Police Department in 1993, taking on the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | roles of criminal investigator and assistant chief of police, and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | in 1998, he was appointed chief of police, a position he held until |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | his retirement; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Chief Angermann has enjoyed |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | the love and support of his wife, Sabrina, and in retirement, the |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | couple plan to travel and to spend more time with their daughter and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | grandson; Mr. Angermann will also continue to enjoy his hobbies, |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | which include shooting skeet and watching University of Mary |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Hardin-Baylor and Washington Redskins football games; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Timothy Angermann's commitment to the highest |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | standards of his profession greatly benefited the residents of |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | Lampasas County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on the |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | invaluable contributions he made during his more than four decades |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | in law enforcement; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Timothy S. Angermann on his |
|---|
| 34 | 35 | | retirement as chief of the Lampasas Police Department and extend to |

| 35 | 36 | | him sincere best wishes for continued happiness and fulfillment as |

| 36 | 37 | | he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it |
