45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Proud alumni of Abernathy High School are joining
67 together on June 16 and 17, 2017, to celebrate their 50-year class
78 reunion; and
89 WHEREAS, This much-anticipated gathering offers former
910 students an opportunity to greet old friends, forge new bonds, and
1011 enjoy laughter and good times as they reminisce about days gone by;
1112 and
1213 WHEREAS, Although the graduates of 1967 have gone their
1314 separate ways over the past five decades, the camaraderie and
1415 school spirit that bound them together 50 years ago is still evident
1516 today, and the experiences and knowledge that they gained as
1617 students at Abernathy High School have forever enriched their
1718 lives; and
1819 WHEREAS, Since their graduation, the members of the Class of
1920 1967 have distinguished themselves as outstanding citizens and as
2021 valued members of their communities, and it is a pleasure to
2122 recognize both the breadth of their accomplishments and their
2223 steadfast loyalty to their beloved alma mater; now, therefore, be
2324 it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate the Abernathy High School Class of
2627 1967 on the occasion of its 50-year high school reunion and extend
2728 to its members sincere best wishes for a joyous and memorable event;
2829 and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for the Abernathy High Class of 1967 as an expression of
3132 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
