| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Adrian Alejandro Aguilar of Boy Scouts of America |

| 6 | 7 | | Troop No. 11 in Brownsville has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, |

| 7 | 8 | | and this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Eagle Scout badge is a significant honor |

| 9 | 10 | | bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the scouting |

| 10 | 11 | | movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding criteria, |

| 11 | 12 | | Mr. Aguilar earned the requisite 21 merit badges and successfully |

| 12 | 13 | | completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |

| 14 | 15 | | leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |

| 15 | 16 | | respect and admiration of his fellow troop members as he worked |

| 16 | 17 | | toward the highest rank that the organization offers; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A senior at Homer Hanna Early College High School, |

| 18 | 19 | | Mr. Aguilar currently ranks fourth on the varsity tennis team, and |

| 19 | 20 | | he has also achieved notable success participating in the Junior |

| 20 | 21 | | Olympic Archery Development program; through the youth group at |

| 21 | 22 | | St. Mary's Catholic Church, he has helped to feed the less |

| 22 | 23 | | fortunate in his community at the Good Neighbor Settlement House |

| 23 | 24 | | soup kitchen; after his graduation, he plans to attend The |

| 24 | 25 | | University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and pursue a career in |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Aguilar's dedication to excellence and |

| 27 | 28 | | his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proved him worthy |

| 29 | 30 | | pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
