 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Sachse High School counseling department was
 recognized with a 2017 CREST award at the 12th Annual Professional
 School Counselor Conference held in Arlington from February 12
 through 14, 2017; and
 WHEREAS, CREST, which stands for Counselors Reinforcing
 Excellence for Students in Texas, is an awards program sponsored by
 the Texas School Counselor Association; the accolade is designed to
 recognize outstanding school counseling programs across the Lone
 Star State; and
 WHEREAS, Fitting recipients of this notable honor, the
 members of the Sachse High counseling team include lead counselor
 Beverly Wyly, LIGHT counselor Teri Holamon, and counselors Tiffany
 Crayton, Brandi Primm, Daphne Price, Michelle Wall, Kimberly
 Gammon, and Jana Pearcy, as well as an exceptional group of support
 staff; these accomplished professionals have worked diligently to
 help the school's more than 2,500 students reach their full
 potential; and
 WHEREAS, The members of the counseling office at Sachse High
 School have upheld the highest ideals of their profession, and they
 are indeed deserving of recognition for their efforts to ensure a
 bright future for Texas youth; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Sachse High School counseling
 department on winning a 2017 CREST award at the 12th Annual
 Professional School Counselor Conference and extend to all those
 associated with the department sincere best wishes for the future;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the Sachse High School counseling team as an
 expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
